I was in Grenoble last week for a collaborative project. It was a city I didn’t know, and on the last day, before catching my train, I took the chance to slip away for a quick escape into the mountains.
I was lucky to encounter one of those weather moods I love, with a threatening sky and patches of fog. I’ve always been drawn to mist, but it becomes even more captivating in the mountains, when you see the cloud moving toward you and suddenly it’s impossible to see ten meters ahead.
All I had with me was a small half-frame film camera and a high-grain roll, not the most versatile gear, but I made do. The result is a raw interpretation of the mountain, perfectly capturing the feeling of standing before such a powerful landscape.
