Go big

At the 4 Art exhibition last weekend in Paris, I presented for the very first time in my career large, even very large format prints, one of which stood over 1.6 meters tall.

Until now, I had always favored smaller formats, which I find more intimate and better suited to quiet, personal contemplation. Many had encouraged me to go bigger over the years, but I had never taken the leap probably because producing such pieces raises real logistical challenges: transport, storage, fragility, and cost...

I felt the urge to give it a try.

The Halle des Blancs-Manteaux is actually where I held my very first professional exhibition, so I have a special fondness for the place. There was something about the energy of the 4 Art fair, the venue, the atmosphere that made me want to take the leap. And I didn’t regret it for a second.

From the moment the exhibition opened, the feedback was immediate. Between a sense of immersion and admiration for the richness of detail, visitors genuinely surprised me some leaning in to examine every nuance, while others stepped back and lingered, taking in the work as a whole.

Over the four days of the exhibition, this format one, I had feared, ended up allowing my work to resonate in an entirely new way.

Were you unable to attend?

For the exhibition, I created a slideshow featuring several dozen photos, some well known to the long-time followers among you, but others completely unseen until now. The idea was to trace my first ten years of creative work.

The slideshow includes photos from some of my most memorable travels (Venice, the Faroe Islands, Canada, New York…) as well as more personal images captured from my everyday life.

You can find the slideshow at this link: https://youtu.be/lOBqpP-Qeug

If a piece moves you or sparks your curiosity, please don’t hesitate to contact me. Not all the prints I currently own are listed online, but on this page of my website, you’ll find information as well as an indication of prices.

So if the idea of welcoming one of my works into your home crosses your mind, this page can already provide some guidance.
