Why do I shoot with a 4×5 view camera?
Holding a view camera in your hands is feeling every gesture. The bellows stretching, the holder sliding in, the shutter clicking softly… Everything becomes concrete, almost tangible. Each image is the result of a ritual, of deliberate slowness, and the moment the film is exposed to light, you hold in your hands a singular, unique, and tangible work.
