The review

Since November 25 and the last post on this blog, my activities have kept me away from the keyboard. This long absence now serves as an obvious bridge to take stock of the experience: in short, I suspected it from the start the main challenge for me was maintaining a regular publishing schedule!

Remember, I had started with two posts per week, then, quickly caught up by reality, down to one. In fact, when the pace of my exhibitions and travels intensifies, as it does at the end of the year, I simply cannot keep up. At the same time, my job is to sell my photos, not run a blog…

Nevertheless, let’s see if I can maintain a more realistic pace of one article per month.

Positive Feedback

Beyond this observation, I’m very happy to see that the goal I had set for myself to photograph much more regularly has worked. I have reached, and even exceeded, my objectives, sometimes producing, within the framework of the Chroniques Photographiques, images that I truly consider artistically valuable. We’ll see what I do with the works created in this context: I have a little idea in mind. I’m keeping it to myself for now… and I might tell you about it later.

At the same time, I’m very surprised by the reception of my blog: once again, it has far exceeded my expectations. I imagined it would be read by a handful of dedicated readers, and I’m both surprised and touched to see that you are far more numerous than I could have imagined.

For example, I can tell you that the most popular posts from last year were:

2 – Utrecht

4 – Amsterdam

It’s interesting to note that three of the most popular posts deal with aspects of photography that go beyond the strict act of taking a picture. Plenty of inspiration for this year’s roadmap!

As you can tell, I’ll continue sharing my updates here. This space is a bit special, sitting somewhere between the newsletter, the conversations we can have at my exhibitions, and discussions on social media. And I have even more to share, since many events have unfolded since my last post, and the year ahead already promises to be full of adventures.

Before I let you go, I want to share with you some photos I took in the snow this January. The snowfall was brief, and I was very busy, but I took advantage of my travels to capture a few shots.
