As a photographer and geographer, part of my approach focuses on the representation of landscapes, as well as the promotion of territories and heritage.
To fully understand a territory and grasp its complexity, it is essential to traverse and observe it at human scale.
In Escapades, the images I capture go beyond mere scientific documentation to assert themselves as works of art.
Through "Escapades," I aim not merely to depict or document what I see in the world but to feel and seek out what, in the external world, evokes an emotional response within me. It is this recurring preoccupation that lends coherence to photographs taken in different locations and at different times of the year.
"Escapades" is a long-term project that began in 2015. It was conceived as a continuous frieze with no prescribed direction of reading. Each photograph, captured across the globe, can be appreciated individually while also contributing to the overall harmony of the series.
Baden-Württemberg is a German region bordered by France. The landscapes are majestic and varied, so it will come as no surprise to learn that the first hiking trail in the world was created there in the last century. A paradise for walkers and photographers.
Explore the splendor of the Bay of Somme, an exceptional nature reserve in France. Between its vast marshlands and majestic dunes, this bay offers a unique experience that I captured during a visit in 2016.
Faroes Islands are an archipelago in the middle of the North Atlantic belonging to Denmark. Off Scotland, Norway and Iceland, it rains more than 300 days a year. Without a vehicle, I decided to discover these tormented landscapes by foot.
New York, the mecca of all street photographers, the city of the Big Four with London, Paris and Tokyo. This trip has a special flavor because it is also my first as a professional. Some of the images gleaned there have won me awards and contests for years
Located in the south of Brittany, Pornic and its coast seduce with the presence of its fishermen's huts. I took advantage of a strong gust of wind to immortalize this piece of coast.
The Corsair City, as it is nicknamed, is the entry point to a territory where people and the environment seem to be in symbiosis. The often minimalist photos invite to contemplation and introspection.
Photographs taken during a creative residency/exhibition conducted in spring 2022 in partnership with the Alliance Française de Toronto. Among its numerous qualities, Toronto is also known for being one of the cities with the most skyscrapers in North America.
It was a cut short trip by the spread of COVID and the country's quarantine. The positive side is to have been able to take advantage of this period of tension to photograph the city without tourists.
