My Artistic Works

This page presents personal works carried out in cemeteries, gardens or in the street. These series, for the most part still open, refer to the notions of passage and absence that are dear to me.

STORY FROM BESIDES THE GRAVES

Ever since I was a child, cemeteries have fascinated me. I would be unable to say if it is in human nature or an evil of our modern society, but people tend to think that they are the first, that only them and their time counts...

I like to look at the names, the professions exercised by the people buried, to see where they lived. Far from seeing a morbid side to it, I find on the contrary, a form of calm. We are only passing through but all these graves make our presence last.

BACK AND FORTH

Back and forth is a long-term series. Unlike some street photographers, I tend to maintain distance from my subject. Probably out of modesty but surely also because I find a way to feed the viewer's imagination.

Back and forth exposes characters often summarized only with their legs crossing or fleeing the frame.

CHAIRS STORIES

Two linked chairs, a chair overturned, a cohort of aligned chairs... Taken in Paris's gardens those photographs depicts stories of their previous owners that we never see.
